Eagle gains ad awards

BEND – The Blue Mountain Eagle won two awards in the Best Ad Ideas Contest held by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.

The awards were announced at the organization’s annual AdCon meeting, held in September at the Mt. Bachelor Resort in Bend.

The Eagle took second place in its circulation division in the “best advertising headline” category for “Got tension?” – used in an ad for Body, Fitness and Dance. Second-place honors also went to the Eagle for a Kimberly Orchards ad in the “most effective use of small space” category.

General Manager Marissa Williams said the awards were indicative of the quality work done by Eagle graphic designer Winnie Browning and of the Eagle’s commitment to a strong partnership with the business community.

“It’s great to get the recognition of your peers, but the real rewards come from designing ads that help merchants succeed in the local marketplace,” Williams said.
